Here you go: As with the original mapping you have to install the sceens zip into the skins folder (don't unzip it! just as is) and the xml file into the "Mappers" folder. Some have asked if I could share my version of the mapping. Digital DJing and Sound Quality - Handling Levels in TRAKTOR. Whoa.I've been writing on this board without anything happening at all for a while.so sorry.I just didn't realized there's so much activity all of a sudden. Is it possible to make the browser's "Color rules" viewable? After all.is this the right Forum post for D2 Mapping questions or is it really just related to the D2 Screens. You could save screen space by using stripes instead of stars. That's a crucial "Energy" related replacement for me. The browser implementation of "Rating" would be nice. In contrast, Hawk production fell to less than 8,300 units. Once Ford added a back seat in 1958, output almost doubled to 38,000 units. Pictured is a 1955 President (top image) and a 1956 Golden Hawk (click on images to go to photo galleries). Sales of Studebaker’s low-slung “Loewy coupes” quickly tapered off despite stylistic updates. Note that 1956 was the first time the coupes were referred to as Hawks rather than as body styles for Studebaker’s line of Champion, Commander and President family cars. However, that was still good enough to outsell the two-seater Thunderbird for one more year. Unfortunately, Studebaker experienced a perfect storm of difficulties that resulted in coupe output declining to roughly 19,000 units in 1956. At the time that was pretty extraordinary for a halo car which wasn’t roomy enough to be a practical family hauler.Īlso see ‘1951 Studebaker: Pointing in the wrong direction’ Almost 80,000 units were sold in 1953, its first year on the market. Ford’s confidence in investing in a four-passenger T-Bird may have at least partially hinged on the early success of Studebaker’s low-slung two-door hardtop and coupe, which were designed by Raymond Loewy’s consulting firm. Ford succeeds at what Studebaker failed to doĪlthough the Thunderbird is commonly thought of as having pioneered the personal coupe, that distinction arguably should go to Studebaker. The iconic vinyl top and landau irons were introduced in 1962. The Thunderbird helped launch the brougham era with a boxy roofline that evoked the classic cars of the 1920s. Even though the four-seater T-Bird was a parenthetical effort, it proved to be more financially lucrative than the launching of the Continental and Edsel brands and moving both the Mercury and Lincoln upmarket. The biggest irony of the Thunderbird is that it made a mockery of Ford’s enormously expensive effort to invade the premium-priced and luxury-car fields in the second half of the 1950s. The 1958 Ford Thunderbird was supposed to be a niche car, but it sold better than both the Edsel and Mercury in the top end of the premium-priced field ( Old Car Advertisements). The 1958-60 T-Bird showed that the public would pay a premium price for a smaller car even during a recession. In addition, the Thunderbird challenged the 1950s Detroit groupthink that the more expensive the car, the bigger it had to be. The early four-seaters were only available as a two-door hardtop and convertible - and in high-end trim. The Thunderbird also defied the then-dominant practice of fielding a broad range of body styles and trim variants. For this reason, the T-Bird is arguably one of the most significant halo cars of all time.Īlso see ‘1958-60 Lincoln: Failing to beat GM at its own game’ Indeed, the Thunderbird almost single-handedly spurred a massive product-proliferation spree that resulted in a diversity of personal coupes, ranging from the high-priced Cadillac Eldorado to subcompact “pony cars” such as the Toyota Celica. The T-Bird’s unusually low height and long-hood, short-deck proportions would eventually be widely copied by both American and foreign automakers. T-Bird unleashes massive product-proliferation spreeĪ key reason the Thunderbird was able to develop an exceptional level of cachet was because it was given a unique body that had more sporting proportions than a typical premium-priced car. ![]() The T-Bird challenged GM’s hierarchy of brands by competing price-wise against the automaker’s top-end premium-priced cars even though the personal coupe was sold through plebeian Ford dealers. The success of the 1958-60 T-Bird showed that being different was a better strategy ( Old Car Advertisements). In the 1950s Ford spent a fortune vainly trying to better compete against GM’s highly successful five-brand pricing hierarchy. Each of these brands offered distinctive styling and mechanical features, but by the late-50s they shared a common platform. This approach was most highly developed at GM, where a car buyer could show they were moving up in the world by switching from the low-priced Chevrolet to a higher-priced Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick and - at the pinnacle - Cadillac. For one thing, 1958-60 T-Bird was the first Big Three postwar car to undercut the “hierarchy of brands” strategy that then dominated the US auto industry. The early four-seaters were remarkably subversive on a number of levels. 2 automaker could better compete against mighty General Motors if it pioneered new markets rather than trying to directly compete model for model. The four-seater Thunderbird was a surprisingly pivotal car for the Ford Motor Company. ![]() Checking amazon there are numerous reviews stating that people have lost their unit to the lake or have difficulty getting it to stay clamped or hold a position. One other prevalent issue that pops up when looking to secure this unit is mounting arm. The Deeper literature says it should last 5.5 hours, which cuts it a few short for my usual fishing trip. Since the battery is built in there is not a way to replace it once it dies on the water. I also had quite a difficult time seeing the display of my phone due to the bright sunlight, even on full brightness it was difficult and my phone battery started to go fast.Īnother concern I had about the unit and I’m sure other people will as well, is the battery life. This was convenient to make sure the unit was adjusted correctly but I also kept slamming into it with my paddle and it would cause disruptions in the reading. One issue I did have was that the only available mounting location on my kayak was the handle right next to where I paddle. The unit also has a max depth of 260ft, which lets you fish all but the deepest lakes and oceans. The user interface has a stellar design and it’s nice to have high quality HD resolution from a phone screen that normally doesn’t come with a fish finder. Battery life, water temperature, depth, and the sonar readings are all the key features on the screen and they work well. The app is available for both Android and iPhone and that is the only way to control and use the unit. I used it with my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone and had no issues. The unit was pretty easy to get up and running once the app was installed. It’s about the size of a racquetball and it’s super easy to throw into my milk crate for the kayak. The Deeper fish finder is so portable which is awesome. When I was fishing I didn’t have any disconnects, and it was about 2 inches under the water most of the time while paddling. One other new change is that the unit now uses wireless now instead of Bluetooth which results in a better connection. What this means is that you can now log your favorite lake and learn the contours and details to make your next fishing trip even better. Bathymetric maps are designed to present accurate, measurable descriptions and visual presentation of the submerged terrain. ![]() For those that didn’t know what that means, myself included, a bathymetric maps is the submerged equivalent of an above-water topographic map. However I was able to confirm that it connected to my phone, so this had me itching to get it out on the lake as soon as possible.ĭeeper’s best new feature with this latest release is that it allows gps in the fish finder to create bathymetric maps while being onshore or offshore. Obviously I should have read more of the instructions that explicitly state that it won’t work in a sink. Success, it connected! But still it wasn’t displaying anything. So I immediately filled up the bathroom sink and dropped it in. Obviously I should have read the instructions that say the deeper unit activates only when you put it in liquid. However it wasn’t connecting, so my first thought of course was that it was broken. When I got the Deeper PRO+ in the mail the first thing I did was charge it up then try to connect with my Android phone and see how it worked right away in my home office just as any over-excited fisherman would do. One of the biggest attractants to this unit in particular is the ease of use and portability that allows you to transfer this between fishing from shore, to a pier, to a kayak. Deep lakes with no visible cover can be very hard to fish without electronics, such as Lake Norman in North Carolina. I have been interested in portable fish finders ever since I first started kayak fishing. ![]() , z, which is useful if you're generating a typeset. Subscript in LaTeX can be created easily using the symbol _ (underscore). For this, you need to use \left and \right commands. Because brackets and large expressions will not adjust dynamically. Posited in this letter as a solution is infrared spectroscopy 13, a widely used and applied characterization technique due to its ability to probe into the material at the molecular level and hence an inherently sensitive mode of interrogation. While the recent POC 12 solutions reduce time to test results, there still remains a dependency on blood draw coupled with lower analytical sensitivity compared to central laboratory testing, hence limiting their application toward effective discharge from the ED. Similarly, recent developments with microneedle patches 11 further demonstrate promise for longitudinal monitoring of the levels of inflammatory biomarkers. High sensitivity immunoassays have advanced state of art possibilities for point of care and home healthcare modalities with innovations by startups like Luminostics 10. Point-of-care (POC) assays are becoming increasingly available such as Abbott iSTAT 8 but suffer from low sensitivity making them incompatible with rapid rule-out algorithms 9. Furthermore, it mandates the logistics between physician and laboratory. While immunoassays are highly developed and accurate, extensive sample preparation including cumbersome blood 7 draws are required. The state-of-the-art 4 troponin quantitation mechanism is based on immunoassays 5 involving the use of two or more antibodies, one of which is labeled, typically with a chemiluminescent tag, which adds another level of complexity 6 in the analysis. Furthermore, 1 out of 5 myocardial infarctions (MI) is asymptomatic (silent), leading to nearly 200,000 silent MIs each year in the US 2. Over 80% of these are due to non-cardiac causes, resulting in an unnecessary burden in the ED, revealing the need for an instant non-invasive screening technique that can streamline the ED workflows 1. Over 10 million patients present with chest pain 1 in emergency departments (ED) in the United States alone. Further, potential pitfalls associated with infrared spectroscopic mode of inquiry are outlined including requisite steps needed for improving the precision and overall diagnostic value of the device in future studies. This preliminary work introduces the potential of a bloodless transdermal measurement of troponin-I based on molecular spectroscopy. We demonstrate a significant correlation ( r = 0.7774, P < 0.001, n = 52 biologically independent samples) between optically-derived data and blood-based immunoassay measurements with and an area under receiver operator characteristics of 0.895, sensitivity of 96.3%, and specificity of 60% for predicting a clinically meaningful threshold for defining elevated Troponin I. ![]() ![]() Patients were recruited with suspected acute coronary syndrome. Our device relies on infrared spectroscopic detection of troponin-I through the dermis and is tested in stepwise laboratory, benchtop, and clinical studies. In this communication, we present the development and early validation of non-invasive transdermal monitoring of cardiac troponin-I to detect its elevated state. This modality further restricts the number of measurements given the clinical context of the patient. Current standard-of-care troponin assays provide a snapshot or momentary view of the levels due to the requirement of a blood draw. The levels of circulating troponin are principally required in addition to electrocardiograms for the effective diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome. |
